Last week, Apple launched its third incarnation of its iPad, surprisingly called, iPad 3! This completely redesigned iPad is powered by Apple’s A5X quad-core processor and runs off iOS 5.1, the latest update to the manufacturer’s mobile operating system.

It comes with a touchscreen that incredibly produces four times the number of pixels of iPad 2, with the 3.1 million pixels in the display, and that’s over one million more pixels than an HDTV and this now means video can also now be played in HD.

Not only that, but with a five-megapixel camera, iPad3 also records in HD and includes a new video image stabilisation feature and users can also edit and share content using the preloaded Photos app.

iCloud is fully featured and a set of free cloud services including iTunes in the Cloud, Photo Stream and Documents in the Cloud works with the iPad to automatically and wirelessly store content and transfer it to devices.

The new iPad also supports voice-to-text dictation. Users can tap on the microphone icon on the keyboard, speak into it and when finished, tap on the ‘done’ option and the device converts the words into text and dictation can be used to write messages, take notes and search the web. It also works with third-party apps too, so users can update their Facebook status or tweet.
